Had trouble convincing it to run in a virtual machine.
Partitioner is confusing as hell (using cylinders to determine partition size?!)
Install was very fast (10 mins)
FVWM is the default window manager which I hate.
Lacks binaries for libiconv and gettext so gnome won’t install.
Ports system is somewhat confusing
CVS won’t work
No wget! This is blasphemy! Have to use ftp to grab stuff!
OpenBSD is more complicated than Slackware and that is a difficult thing to have. Still, I have the most secure OS avaliable to the general public. I just can’t use it for anything.

I believe winter is upon us. I had to scrape car windows this morning to allow my brother and I to get some stuff done. As it is winter, it means the end of British Summer Time and so the clocks went back an hour this morning. This caused some confusion on the part of my brother. For some reason, his phone wasn’t set properly and I had to get him up for uni.
I also had a small amout of confusion. I woke at about 6am this morning and was cursing since I thought it was only 5 yet I wasn’t tired. Turns out my phone automagically changes the time so I really was up at 6. I’m sure my body thought it was 7.
We should abandon this whole idea of daylight saving time. All it does is give us an extra hour of light for a week or so and promotes confusion.
Now, to finish resetting clocks.

I seemed to be somewhat ahead of myself last week. I thought that one of my courseworks had to be in a week early and I also thought I was going to Ireland last Thursday. Turns out that neither is the case. Coursework is due on Friday and Ireland on Thursday (coursework is done thankfully).
Ireland should be interesting. Couldn’t go last time to see the random drunkenness so I thought I better attend this time. Have to get up at the obscene time of 5am so I can get to Prestwick airport for the flight to Dublin. Then I have a 4 hour drive to get to the hotel. So I’m gonna be shattered. Thankfully the hotel has a pool which makes me happy. Not been for a swim for ages.
I hope to keep some sort of journal during the trip, mainly as a way to pass time. I may type it up but if there is no net.access at the hotel it may be some time before I do. I also need to decide on what media and documents to take with me as I have limited storage space (damn 4gb flash disk in my laptop) and only a few storage devices that I can take. Got music sorted on an SD card. Of course, it may be the case that I don’t need the media/documents and may socialise like a normal person.
