Just had my first shave with the new razor. My neck is still intact save for a couple of minor nicks where my skin is uneven.  I don’t think I was doing it right though. I did feel a lot of dragging and my jawline is still stubbly. The flat areas of my face are pleasantly smooth though. Think I need to find the right angle for the blade to be at for my razor. Ideally I would have done it after a shower but that only happens at night. Though for the wedding I will probably shower and attempt another go.

The shaving soap stuff seems to be pretty crap. It does foam up nicely but seems to go flat when on my face. Could be that the stuff has settled out while in storage/transit. I thought it would be creamy when coming out the tube but was very watery. Oh well, it was free.

My new razor  and shaving brush finally arrived. Goodbye to expensive cartridges and weird chemical foam (except the new stuff I have which has a ton of unpronounceable things, but it was free).

First shave will be tomorrow but I don’t think I will get good results cause I shaved this morning. We shall see.

Also, I really don’t wanna slice my face up cause I have a wedding to go to tomorrow…

Been doing a bit of thinking recently. Mainly about what to do after university. At the moment I’m not too sure if I’ll pass 3rd year. Been contemplating going back and doing the networking course if I don’t pass which is what I should have done in the first place. May go back and do it anyway even if I do pass.

The other main thing I have been thinking about is joining the Air Force. I want to get a job that means I am doing something positive in my life, not just sitting behind a desk for some faceless corporation.

Pros:

Not on the front line getting shot at/blown up as in the army. Gives me a good qualification with real world skills. Will get my fitness up beyond an acceptable lesson. Good money.

Cons:

May be sent to the sandbox anyway. Possibility of harsh training (hate drill instructors) . Not seeing my mates for ages at a time.

I’ll have to head to the recruitment office in Dundee and gather some propaganda about the RAF.

The minor thing I have been thinking about is my hair. Again. Yes, it is an important subject to me. I am unsure if I should grow it long again. it doesn’t look too bad when short but long hair is awesome for moshing. However, long hair is a pain in the ass to keep in good condition and takes ages to dry as well as pissing me off at night and at badminton. Short hair is piss easy to look after. Virtually no maintenance, just slap on a bit of shampoo in the shower.

Well, not quite. Not even close. But I feel like one. I have fixed my HDD audio player (again) after I managed to break it (again).

I found that the solder pad for the right audio channel had come off a circuit board. I don’t believe that is easy to fix. So I did the next best thing. A blatant hackjob. I found some thin wire (yay for random cruft), cut it up and after much fiddling and a little guesswork, soldered it between the left and right pins on the audio connector, thus providing sound to both ears. Yay!

Hope it doesn’t break again.

My hair seems to be doing some sort of faux-hawk type thing. It is growing up the center line of my head and is somewhat bothering me. Should be going down the back of my head. Think it is to do with the double crown thing I have. The quicker it gets to the longness it was (really shouldn’t have cut it), the happier I’ll be.

My body can be really annoying at times…

I have ordered tickets for the next Bryan Adams gig in October. Seem to be going to a fair few gigs these days. Megadeth, BA for the first time, Nightwish this month and BA again.

The good thing about this BA gig is it is indoors and I won’t get utterly drenched again. That sucked.
