Just got the motor shield today, soldered it up and wired it into the chassis. A couple tweaks to the code and I have USB control.
Now, to strap my airsoft gun to it and go into mass production.
I suck at coming up with descriptions so just watch.
I have finally managed to upload the video I made from a presentation at the local Linux User Group. The topic is on the running of a Highlands Wireless ISP.
The quality is not the best. The lighting in the room was messing with the camera a bit and the sound is a bit low so you may want to turn up the volume. I am by no means a video expert, I just dumped the footage, whacked on a title and credits then encoded it twice, once to mpeg and the next to xvid.
Hopefully it will be educational/entertaining. Liscensed under a Creative commons By-Sa 2.5 liscense, you have permission to copy, give to folk and edit it so long as you attribute the source and distribute your versions under the same liscense.
A good chunk of media has been produced over the past month or so.
First off, the R4nger5 have released their second Combat Short which goes over the details of V’s activist pack. Also, 1on3 R4nger5 episode 12 has been released (mirrored here).
Vrayes has released 2 episodes of his contribution to the Afternow world called The Storm (mirror) and Ru486 and Big Brother have released episode 3 of their contributions called The Wog Hunter Chronicles (mirror). Episodes 1 and 2 still have to be re-recorded it seems.
Avagdu has also released Storm The Wire 23 (mirror).
I have a ton of stuff to catch up on.
Was at a housewarming party last night. Usual party stuff, including guitar hero. After folk got bored of guitars and were sufficiently drunk, Singstar was brought out. Much laughter was had and there was a very scarily well done version of Aqua’s Barbie Girl. Ross can match the male singer pretty much perfectly and won the game.
After that, Louise and I had a go at singing Evanescence’s Bring Me To Life which never worked as planned. More importantly, there was video of the event. Yes, I’m putting footage of me drunkenly singing on the internet.
Shortly after Episode 17 was released, Avagdu released episodes 18 and 19 of his video series. I just never got around to updating this till now. Oops.
My new phone is awesome. Better than I hoped for.
Check out some video I shot on it, just me swiveling in my chair and doing a bit of zooming (which is crap due to the digital nature of the phone).
Episode 8 of SKTV has finally been uploaded to my mirror. I think it was the funniest one yet but does have a few good points in it, dated though they are (show was originally streamed live years ago but not released for download until now).
I’m not a huge fan of the band that was on though they do have a lot of energy. Anyway, I suggest you either grab the torrent or the episode directly from me.
I don’t normally post music videos but I’ll make an exception. As you should know, I am a rabid Nightwish fan. They have just done a video for the song “The Islander” on the Dark Passion Play album (which you should buy). It is not the usual heavy rock/metal that they normally do but is instead an acoustic song which may be more to folk’s liking.
Enough wittering, enjoy!
