I am officially done with the education system. Last ever bit of coursework was submitted today. Now I can legitamatly slack off until the parents bug me enough to get a job.

Roll on graduation and the graduation ball.

Now, if USPS would hurry up with my knife I could go out and try out some bushcraft skills I have learned.

It’s all over

Woo! Freedom! No more uni until September!

Hope I did okay in that exam. 2 questions completely stumped me but they were only low mark questions. Need 24 marks for a bare pass, should have got that at least.

Now, what to do for 4 months… Gonna go camping at some point. Need to be social more. Got to do a ton of overtime to pay for the trip to Canada. So little to do, so much time.

Managed to get today’s exam scanned in and uploaded. Have a look at the stuff I have to do at uni.

Things are finishing up

Just had the first exam for uni. Think I did ok. Answered all the questions I was supposed to. Reckon I should pass. Got one more on Thursday.

My mirror is finally up to date after being out of sync with my local repository of good stuff. Items of note are the Sean Kennedy TV Show and R4nger5 Radio ep 25.

Cars are great when they work

But a pain in the ass when they don’t. Had to get the AA out to give me a hand again with Serenity (my car)(guess where I took the name). Guy prodded the starter motor with a crowbar and she started up. Booked her into the local garage for next Friday. Lets hope she holds up until then.

In other news, my presentation went pretty well (aside from the technical difficulties at the start) mainly because I never spoke. I suck at presenting stuff so it was for the best that I remained silent.  Bonus: the lecturers never figured out that the program doesn’t work properly.

Exams next week…*headdesk*

Thinking about life

by Kevin on March 19, 2008
in Journal

Been doing a bit of thinking recently. Mainly about what to do after university. At the moment I’m not too sure if I’ll pass 3rd year. Been contemplating going back and doing the networking course if I don’t pass which is what I should have done in the first place. May go back and do it anyway even if I do pass.

The other main thing I have been thinking about is joining the Air Force. I want to get a job that means I am doing something positive in my life, not just sitting behind a desk for some faceless corporation.

Pros:

Not on the front line getting shot at/blown up as in the army. Gives me a good qualification with real world skills. Will get my fitness up beyond an acceptable lesson. Good money.

Cons:

May be sent to the sandbox anyway. Possibility of harsh training (hate drill instructors) . Not seeing my mates for ages at a time.

I’ll have to head to the recruitment office in Dundee and gather some propaganda about the RAF.

The minor thing I have been thinking about is my hair. Again. Yes, it is an important subject to me. I am unsure if I should grow it long again. it doesn’t look too bad when short but long hair is awesome for moshing. However, long hair is a pain in the ass to keep in good condition and takes ages to dry as well as pissing me off at night and at badminton. Short hair is piss easy to look after. Virtually no maintenance, just slap on a bit of shampoo in the shower.

Why do I bother coming in on Tuesdays…

Late

I think I left a bit too late for class today. Got a text in the car while I was driving, checked it when I was parked and found I was 15 minutes late for class. Left home an hour too late. Oops.

Sitting in the union just now, trying to dry off. The rain is a bastard at times. The front of my trousers and my boonie hat are soaked.

Should have checked the time before waiting for lunch. Oh well.
