Afternow Organisation
Did a bit of organising the Afternow files I have on my mirror. A lot of folk have made their own Afternow stuff and I thought it would be best to have a directory for all of them.
If you haven’t checked out the stuff, do it.
More new media
A good chunk of media has been produced over the past month or so.
First off, the R4nger5 have released their second Combat Short which goes over the details of V’s activist pack. Also, 1on3 R4nger5 episode 12 has been released (mirrored here).
Vrayes has released 2 episodes of his contribution to the Afternow world called The Storm (mirror) and Ru486 and Big Brother have released episode 3 of their contributions called The Wog Hunter Chronicles (mirror). Episodes 1 and 2 still have to be re-recorded it seems.
Avagdu has also released Storm The Wire 23 (mirror).
I have a ton of stuff to catch up on.
R4nger5 Radio 32 to 34
Just a quick heads up to those who are a fan of free and alternative media, R4nger5 Radio episodes 32 to 34 are now avaliable from my mirror, sorry for the delay.
Mirror Moved!
For all that push content onto my server for mirroring and for folk that download from the mirror the location has changed. It is now on http://files.kevinisageek.org/mirror. Update links etc.
Storm the Wire 18 and 19
Shortly after Episode 17 was released, Avagdu released episodes 18 and 19 of his video series. I just never got around to updating this till now. Oops.
Upload Reloaded
I did a bit more hacking of my upload script (note the exension change) to tweak some things and make it more secure. The updated code is available for criticism/comment.
I still consider the script to be in beta. It would be nice if folk could test it and report on any errors you encounter (particularly file size related).
I am blocking php asp and python scripts as they are most likely to run on the server and are capable of owning me (which I do not want happening. What other extensions should be blocked on a Linux server?
Uploading Files
i have hacked up a script to allow folk to upload files to my mirror. Feel free to upload anything that you think others will like, provided it is legally ok to do so under copyright law. Anything that I suspect is not legal will be removed without notice. Files uploaded to the unsorted directory will be moved into more suitable locations.
For the PHP coders out there, here is the code I used. Take the .txt off the file to make it work.
Sean Kennedy TV episode 8
Episode 8 of SKTV has finally been uploaded to my mirror. I think it was the funniest one yet but does have a few good points in it, dated though they are (show was originally streamed live years ago but not released for download until now).
I’m not a huge fan of the band that was on though they do have a lot of energy. Anyway, I suggest you either grab the torrent or the episode directly from me.
Things are finishing up
Just had the first exam for uni. Think I did ok. Answered all the questions I was supposed to. Reckon I should pass. Got one more on Thursday.
My mirror is finally up to date after being out of sync with my local repository of good stuff. Items of note are the Sean Kennedy TV Show and R4nger5 Radio ep 25.
